Friday morning found the sea in the area of the old beach and in Zvërnec, receding. Part of the sand beneath it has come to the surface, giving a special image. This phenomenon is known as low tide and occurs as a result of the gravitational force of the Moon.
Experts explain that the influence of the Sun can also cause tides, but due to its great distance, its role is smaller compared to that of the Moon.
Tides are rhythmic vertical oscillations of seawater, otherwise known as sea phases, which form the natural rhythm of water levels in all the world's seas and oceans.
