Every rainstorm turns the area around the Oncology Hospital, at the University Hospital Center, into impassable terrain for patients and their families. Mud and puddles of water cover the entrances and exits and sidewalks, making normal passage almost impossible, especially for people with serious health problems.
Patients who face the challenge of the disease every day are forced to jump over puddles, walk in mud, or seek alternative routes to enter hospital facilities.
The situation is even worse for the elderly or those in wheelchairs. In such an important health institution, basic access conditions should not be a luxury, but a standard.
Rainy weather should not become an obstacle for those seeking healing.
