Despite the fact that two elections have been held and Altin Nika and Brunilda Laboviti have been voted as presidents of the Order of Psychologists, Valbona Treska continues to remain in the chair. In violation of the law, Treska has occupied the Order of Psychologists, not implementing the decisions of the Assembly. In this clash, of course, judicial decisions have not been lacking either. The most recent is a decision of the Administrative Court signed by judge Marko Boshko. Through the decision, he has given justice to Altin Nika, who had to go through an ordeal of processes and confrontations with the Order.
After clashes within the species, the psychologists in May 2024 called an extraordinary assembly and voted for a new president. Nika was the winner. However, Treska did not recognize the decision of the highest body of the Order and did not hand over the position. The case ended up in court.
When Treska's term ended, the Assembly convened in June 2025 to vote for the new president. The candidates were Brunilda Laboviti and the Order's General Secretary Elena Mustafaraj. Laboviti won with 238 votes, compared to 140 votes secured by her rival. Treska did not implement this decision either. He did not recognize the Assembly and despite police intervention, nothing changed.
In the June competition, Nika was unable to participate, as the Order of Psychologists punished him with a disciplinary measure, as the only way for him to remain outside. He appealed to the Administrative Court, which overturned the Order's decision, lifting the measure.
The security of the lawsuit according to the law is an executive title and is implemented immediately. But the Order did not abolish the disciplinary measure. Altin Nika decided to put the State Judicial Bailiff in motion, to force the Order to lift the measure and he became part of the competition.
The Order of the Psychologist did not obey the court decision as it considered the enforcement actions as “illegal” and challenged them in court. The Administrative Court, after reviewing the case, decided to dismiss the Order’s appeal, consequently reflecting the actions of the Enforcement Officer as legal and dismissing any claim by Valbona Treska.
After securing this decision, Nika is threatening criminal charges against Treska, the Ethics Commission, and the National Council, as they have ignored court decisions and caused her irreparable moral and material damage.
