Regarding the capture of the perpetrators who killed Gilmando Dani and injured Muçi Shaljani in a criminal incident that occurred in broad daylight at Albania's only international airport, Prime Minister Edi Rama justified himself by saying that the killers would have been caught if we had installed smart cameras imported from the United Arab Emirates.
According to Rama, "if only there were aunts...", because with the cameras we have, with the police we have, with the Rinas security system, with the radars, with the border, with aviation control, with the checkpoints and with the entire state apparatus, nothing can be done.
He added that neither the two national satellites, "Albania 1" and "Albania 2", which according to propaganda see the entire territory, nor the Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Diella, are enough for us. To catch the perpetrators, new cameras are needed that will arrive "in a few months."
In his interview, Rama said:
"If we had this system in place, the killer or killers would have been identified in real time. The project is ready, the funding has been made available, the company is one of the best in the world, the system has been tested in the United Arab Emirates..."
In short:
– the assassination took place in the most guarded spot in Albania,
– the perpetrators disappeared without being identified,
– the state was unable to witness the event,
– and it's all because the cameras haven't arrived yet.
While satellites fly, the AI minister holds the banner of innovation, and the government talks about "digital transformation," the perpetrators of the Rinas attack continue to be "on the run," while the state still awaits the Emirates' rescue cameras to do the job it should have done itself.
