DP MP Jorida Tabaku has spoken out against Sali Berisha's decision to exclude Ervin Salianji from the race for party leadership. During a conversation with young people in Shkodra, Tabaku said that the DP, at this point, does not have the luxury of losing any of its figures.
The Democratic MP, who is part of Berisha's party, said that parties should not be treated as monopolies, but the vote should be the deciding element.
"For me, the DP does not have the luxury of losing anyone; we must grow and expand, reach out to everyone. In a political party, votes decide. It does not matter where I or Salianji are tomorrow, but where the DP and the Democrats will be," she said.
Although former MP Salianji has been expelled from the party, Tabaku invited him to participate in the internal discussions of the blue headquarters.
"I have followed Mr. Salianji's discussion in the media and my request to him is that he take the battle to the DP; the DP has suffered enough these years from the battles fought in television studios," she said.
Tabaku also said that he does not know if there is a decision by the Presidency to close the doors, while adding that institutions should be given time to make the right decision. It seems that the Democratic MP still has not understood how the party she belongs to functions and is not following developments within it.
But we remind him that the DP operates with the public decisions of Sali Berisha, who several months ago set a red line for Ervin Salianj not to step into the blue headquarters. And Tabaku must understand that votes and discussions within the party cannot be more important than Berisha's red lines.
