The Opportunity Party has begun preparations for the upcoming local elections, beginning the process of selecting candidates for mayor and municipal councilors.
This political force is expected to compete alone, with its candidates in all municipalities of Albania. Mayor Agron Shehaj has called on citizens who want to get involved in politics to join this force and participate in the candidate selection process.
"We will be present in all municipalities of Albania with our candidates for mayors and municipal councilors. Today we have also started meetings with candidates and citizens who want to approach us and become part of the competition for municipalities throughout Albania. I expect each of you to come, be nominated and join us. We need everyone's support. We need almost 1600 candidates for municipal councils," says Shehaj in the video published on social networks.
His call came after a meeting with party coordinators across the country, who earlier contributed to the collection of around 100,000 signatures in support of justice and the fight against corruption.
