Jorida Tabaku said today that Belinda Balluku should resign. In an interview with News 24, the Democratic Party MP emphasized that Prime Minister Rama should also resign, as according to her, Balluku did not act alone.
In fact, Ms. Tabaku's voice is not alone. It joins the chorus of the Democratic Party, which constantly, whenever there is a government scandal - which in fact has been numerous recently - demands the resignation of ministers and the prime minister. But they never think of replacing them with their own alternative.
Not to mention the dead institution of resignation in their party that has been usurped by Sali Berisha for 33 years. But this double standard does not stop here. Simply at this moment for a politician who has only done this job since she graduated from college, the question arises:
Why should Rama and Balluku resign when they are practically facing Sali Berisha's DP? Or should Mrs. Tabaku and her party friends, from the chairs and from the FB, take full power? Because they have benefited from pieces of it even during the opposition.
If they haven't understood this in 13 years, perhaps it's time for them to understand that after every scandal, no matter how big and strong, no minister, mayor, or even the prime minister himself has any intention of resigning. Especially if they are put in charge by Sali Berisha and his cronies, whether tribal or intellectual.
If they are capable, they should take power from them. By revolution or by elections. But at least they should not lie to themselves, because the citizens can no longer lie to them with the tired fable that Edi Rama and the corrupt ministers must resign because they are asked to do so by the DP and its pure political talents.
