As announced at the morning press conference, Prime Minister Edi Rama submitted a request to the Constitutional Court two hours ago regarding the decision of the Constitutional Court to suspend Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku from office, alleging a dispute over competence between the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers on the one hand and the Constitutional Court on the other. The subject of the dispute is the determination of which of these parties has the right to suspend a member of the Council of Ministers from office.
Pending the decision, the Constitutional Court has no set deadline, no legal deadlines set to consider the Prime Minister's request. But given the dynamics of developments, it may place it among its work priorities. For this reason, the Prime Minister has also requested the suspension of the effects of the GJKKO decision until the Constitutional Court pronounces its decision.
