In the absence of concrete measures to bring the price of oil at least to the level of countries in the region, Prime Minister Edi Rama has begun a meeting tour in Tirana, where he is gathering SP structures to unveil the next justifications for fuel prices.
In the meeting he held today in Unit 4, the prime minister spoke about the Strait of Hormuz, smuggling, transit oil, chemical markers, new colorants, and companies from the United Arab Emirates, but did not explain why his government does not intervene in the high taxes that have been imposed on each liter of fuel and that make the price expensive.
"Today we have a problem with oil, which has been hit in price by the crisis, but which is a problem even beyond the crisis. That crisis caused in the Strait of Hormuz has increased prices everywhere, etc., but this finds us at a time when we had begun to enter the oil market with a public factor, a public company. And why? At that time there was no war. We had oil that was branded, a chemical component was added to it to identify what was entering legally, not contraband. We tried to fix it as much as we could. It was paint that was easily diluted or easily fabricated.
He then continued with a lengthy explanation that with the new company that will enter the market, it will be guaranteed that citizens will not pay more than they are entitled to.
"And to ensure that the reserve is there. Now, with the public company that we have created, together with the same company that the state has in the United Arab Emirates, we will issue in 1-2 months another colorant that is unmanipulated and will help formalize the oil market, because from the analyses we do, there is a quantity of oil outside the state's radar. We will step in to guarantee that citizens, our fuel consumers, are not forced to pay more than they are entitled to," said Rama.
So, in short, the prime minister "falls out of China" with his explanation to hide an act that his government does not take: reducing taxes on liters of oil, so that the price also drops.
