The "Albania Becomes" party held the announced protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, with the participation of its supporters and activists. The rally began with tensions, where some citizens physically clashed with police officers, pushing them and attempting to approach the building of the Presidency of the Assembly.
The situation escalated when police created a security cordon and intervened to remove the loudspeaker and the raised podium, where the leader of this party, Adriatik Lapaj, was giving his speech. The clashes lasted only a few minutes, while the protest continued afterwards with statements from those present.
The first to speak was the chairman of "Albania Becomes", Adriatik Lapaj, who issued strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama, demanding his resignation and calling on young people to join his party's cause. Lapaj also warned the prime minister that any action or initiative against the protesters would be considered, according to him, as a direct conflict with the Lapaj family.
"I invite citizens to unite and for Rama to resign. Rama lied and did not keep the promises he made! It is time for the new generation to unite. It is the time for good against evil. We are not afraid of criminal proceedings! For all those who have cancer patients at home and cannot find medicine. For all those who suffer from this regime of thieves, who with a message give 50 million euros, let us all together give a round of applause to those justice officials who are facing this malignant cancer! Edi Rama, you are a thief, you are a thief! I say to Edi Rama from this square: Every action, every initiative you take against us is absolutely in direct conflict with the Lapaj family. I have a call for the Diaspora, it is time to liberate the homeland", said Lapaj.
After his speech, the protest continued peacefully, while other citizens took the floor to express their positions and dissatisfaction with the government.
