The mayor of Shkodra, Benet Beci, has left the SPAK premises after staying for about two hours.
After leaving the Special Prosecution Office, Beci has "locked" his mouth in front of journalists, not making any statement on the reasons for his appearance at SPAK.
We recall that the socialist mayor is under investigation by the Special Prosecution Office.
Criminal proceedings were registered against Beci for violating equality in public tenders or auctions, committed in collaboration on 23.10.2024.
Meanwhile, on April 23, 2025, prosecutor Dritan Prençi named the socialist mayor as a defendant.
Beci is accused of the 2019 tender worth 700 thousand euros, aimed at the strategic development of the energy sector (research project).
Along with Benet Beci, several other officials with roles in the Bid Evaluation Committee have also been taken under investigation for this tender.
