"In fact, a person who believes that the implementation of the law and the Constitution is a condition for freedom and human rights can never have any hesitation towards those who implement the law. I admire every person who implements the law, but I do not agree with those who hide crimes in SPAK."
This is what Sali Berisha said today, continuing to maintain a double-standard stance towards the Special Prosecution Office. In his statements, Berisha distinguishes between "good" prosecutors when investigating the government and "bad" ones when investigating the opposition.
According to him, there are also courageous prosecutors in SPAK, who took the deputy prime minister as a defendant, an action that, according to Berisha, should be appreciated. But on the other hand, he described SPAK as "SKAP" when it investigates opposition representatives or when, according to him, other cases are postponed.
"This is justice at the feet of a criminal organization, in which there are also people who have courage and enforce the law," the leader of the Democratic Party further said.
At the end of his speech, Berisha once again called for support, inviting Albanians to join the Democrats' protest on Monday.
