Activists of the "Albania Becomes" movement have started a protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office today, demanding the resignation of the government. A few minutes after the rally began, the protesters clashed with the police.
With chants of "Edi Rama, you thief," they denounced the dire social and economic situation, as well as the government's corrupt dealings, demanding the immediate removal of the prime minister.
For several days, the leader of the movement, Adriatik Lapaj, along with other activists, have been standing near the government headquarters, warning that they will not leave the square until he resigns.
