The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, seems to be announcing an alliance with the leader of "Albania Becomes" Adriatik Lapaj. Even in today's communication with citizens on social networks, Berisha once again welcomed Lapaj's protest being held in front of the prime minister's office and for his unwavering stance.
The DP leader also reiterated that Lapaj is welcome at the Democrats' protest that will be held on Monday in front of Edi Rama's office.
"I have publicly supported Mr. Lapaj not once but several times and congratulated him on his protest. Of course, he represents a political party and bases the protest on his party. The DP, as you saw, started its powerful protest, it started its protest in front of the prime minister's office with a purpose and the second one in parliament. On the 22nd, the DP and its electorate are in the square. Mr. Lapaj was invited to be present at our protest, and even if he wanted to, he could have been, but he followed, because he has a protest scheduled for his party," said Berisha.
This is not the first time that Berisha has publicly supported Lapaj's protests and has called on him to unite the rallies. While the latter has not commented on the statements of the leading democrat, adding to the suspicions that they are warning of an alliance between them.
