After crying and mourning at the memorial ceremony for the victims of Otranto, an event that occurred in 1997, Edi Rama's new minister, Erjona Ismaili, got into an argument with Elisa Spiropali at a parliamentary group meeting.
Two women, but the same political model, did not spare harsh words with each other, while the only one who enjoyed this "sham" spectacle immensely was the supreme leader. Edi Rama did not hide his support for the new minister, while the old one, now without any post, did not leave the hall even though "Skënderbeu" threw her like a rag in front of the parliamentary group.
Because love and servility are partners in politics and Elisa Spiropali is a symbol of this model in the Socialist Party. Like Erjona Ismaili, she began her career crying for the Bulqiza miners and the victims of January 21. Her tears and flattery in front of Edi Rama were what ensured her successful career, from millions in customs, to the prima donna of parliament and diplomacy.
But "Skënderbeg" does not want rebellions in his political court. He wants what he has chosen: mediocrity and servility. And in this race there is always someone younger and more diligent.
Therefore, Erjona Ismaili can replace Spiropali without any problem in the socialist court, where meritocracy translates into servility and propaganda. And the only difference between the ladies, besides age, remains the color of their hair.
