The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has ended the wait and announced the date of the next opposition protest. He called for all of Albania to descend on Tirana on April 17th.
The leading democrat declared that Prime Minister Edi Rama has only one way out and that is to resign.
"Edi Rama, you have only one path, resign as soon as possible. On April 17, Albania in Tirana for the resignation of Edi Rama. Don't think that you will never find peace, there will never be stability for you, for your organization of criminal Balluks and drug cartels in Albania. The opposition stands stronger than ever, more determined than ever in its mission," he said.
We remind you that this is the next protest that the opposition will hold in the action that it has labeled "the last kilometer." But so far the protests have not caused any concern for the ruling party, which has begun work for the 2027 local elections.
