Another international reaction came this Thursday from the European Commission in Albania regarding this Thursday's vote to reject SPAK's request for Belinda Balluku's immunity.
In its response, the European Commission emphasizes the importance of the fight against corruption for Albania's integration process into the European Union.
But what stands out most in this reaction is the wording used by Brussels: "The European Union takes note of the results of today's vote in the Parliament of Albania."
In European diplomatic language, the expression "take note" is a cold and cautious formula, often used when European institutions do not want to enter into direct controversy, but at the same time want to indicate that a certain development has been recorded and will be taken into account in future assessments.
Following this formulation, the European Commission clearly emphasizes two key elements of the integration process.
"Commitment to the rule of law and the fight against corruption are of fundamental importance for the EU accession process."
"Ensuring an appropriate environment for SPAK to effectively carry out its work is essential to credibly support Albania's progress towards EU membership," the European Commission said in a statement.
The Brussels message, although formulated in diplomatic language, places a clear demand at the center: the unconditional functioning of justice and SPAK remains a crucial element for Albania's European path.
