If the prime minister once called the media a "cauldron", now a majority MP seems to have decided to complete the culinary metaphor: Parliament, according to her, has become a "boiling pot".
SP MP Sara Mile, invited to the "Top Story" show, said that the Parliament has become an environment filled with tensions and political clashes.
"Sometimes I have fallen into the trap of the old mindset. Even the pressure, a kind of pot that just boils. It seems to me like an arena between two political agendas: one that fights for EU integration and the other that will stop the speed of our station. Even the language has become harsh. As a young girl, I am somewhat surprised by the offensive language, the discrimination, the personal denigration," she said.
The MP also emphasized that she does not engage in personal attacks against political opponents.
"Do you think I can brand someone? I don't. There is no such scenario. I have my own political struggles. They are related to the group I represent, the ones that are very personal to me are not necessarily related," Mile said.
However, the new comparison has opened up another debate: if the media is the "cauldron" and the Parliament is the "pot", then where is Albanian politics being cooked? And most importantly: who is the cook.
