The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has authorized Prime Minister Edi Rama to represent Albania on the Peace Board, an initiative presented by US President Donald Trump.
According to the authorization issued by the President, the powers, rights and obligations arising from the representation of Albania are inalienable and cannot be delegated to any other authority or public body. The exercise of these powers by the Prime Minister is mandatory and in accordance with the law.
In the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Draft Law on Albania's accession to the Peace Board was approved with 13 votes in favor and none against. The Assembly is now expected to resume the plenary session for the final ratification of the agreement.
