With 80 votes in favor and 22 against, the Albanian Parliament has approved the request of the Democratic Party parliamentary group for the accelerated examination of the issue related to US President Donald Trump's invitation for Albania's participation in the Peace Board.
During the plenary session, the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, announced that the session would be postponed by one hour, explaining that the Committee on Europe and Foreign Affairs must first meet to consider the issue in question.
According to Pelesh, only after the discussion and position of the relevant committee, the draft law will be returned for consideration and voting in the plenary session.
