Special Prosecutors Dorina Bejko and Dritan Prenci appeared today at the Constitutional Court, where Prime Minister Edi Rama's request opposing the suspension of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku is being reviewed.
At the session, the President of the Republic is represented by advisor Ilir Rusmali, chief of staff Hemion Braho, and director general Eriola Shia. The Assembly is represented by legal director Mimoza Arbi, while the government is represented by Herald Jonuzaj.
The hearing at the Constitutional Court is being held today and is related to the security measure "suspension of the exercise of public office", imposed on Belinda Balluku by decision of the Special Court.
The hearing began at 10:00 and is taking place following an appeal by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who claims that with the decision to suspend Balluk, the court has violated his constitutional powers as prime minister.
