The President of the Court of Appeal of the Democratic Party, Adriana Kalaja, has openly opposed the way the opposition's negotiations to find a candidate for Tirana are taking place. Invited to a show, Kalaja stated that the capital needs a clean political candidate.
"Tirana, in the situation it is in, must have a political candidate, clean, with moral integrity and not be blackmailed by the government," Kalaja declared.
She criticized the manner of communication and negotiations so far.
“What is this? Today we are meeting in Rogner with this one; tomorrow we will meet at the other hotel with that other one… This does not show seriousness,” said Kalaja, adding that if the opposition is determined to participate in the elections for Tirana, then there must be a clear and institutional process for the selection of the candidate.
