Although the negotiating group in the DP consists of Flamur Noka, Belind Këlliçi and Ilir Alimehmeti, the DP candidate for the Municipality of Tirana was announced last night by Gazment Bardhi. Invited to the TVSH studio, Bardhi announced that the opposition has selected its candidate for the elections in Tirana, emphasizing that he is not an official of the Democratic Party.
He added that he expects President Bajram Begaj to sign the decree announcing elections in the capital, recalling that the President's previous precedents are such that this action is allowed. Bardhi mentioned the case of the decree of the virtual minister 'Diella', which he described as a violation of the Constitution.
Asked what he will do if the President does not sign the decree for elections in Tirana, Bardhi replied with irony: "I will greet the President."
