The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare announced that during the evening hours, 21 people presented for medical assistance at the University Trauma Hospital (SUT) and the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center (QSUT), following incidents recorded in the field.
According to the official announcement, among the injured were 19 State Police officers, a Democratic Party MP, and a citizen.
Ten police officers, the deputy identified by the initials BN, and a citizen presented themselves at the Emergency Room of the University Trauma Hospital. All received medical assistance according to protocols, in the presence of a multidisciplinary team.
After treatment, 9 police officers were discharged from the hospital on the recommendation of doctors, while one of them was transferred to the QSUT, to the Toxicology Service, due to breathing problems. The BN MP also left after receiving medical assistance.
The citizen with the initials KK continues to be treated at SUT, and according to doctors, his life is out of danger.
Meanwhile, 10 police officers presented to the QSUT with health problems, mainly intoxication and burns to their limbs. Seven of them received outpatient treatment and were discharged, while three others were admitted for further treatment due to their health condition.
The Ministry emphasizes that the medical and nursing staff of the Multipurpose Emergency Service and the Burn-Plastic Service were on full alert to manage the situation and provide medical care according to protocols.
