The fires that have engulfed the areas of Çerkovica and Dhivri in the Finiq Municipality continue to be active, while state structures are working to contain the spread of the flames.
According to the Ministry of Defense, firefighting teams, the Armed Forces, the State Police, as well as air intervention, were involved in the operation.
Firefighters are working to contain the fire and ensure the safety of residents. The temporary evacuation of some residents who were within the danger zone has also been made possible.
The fire in Finiq Municipality is one of several active fires in the country, while high temperatures and strong winds are making intervention on the ground difficult, increasing the risk of further spread.
