The murder of Italian businessman Edoardo Sarchi in the village of Salari, Tepelena, has shocked the public opinion. Meanwhile, new details are emerging from the investigation of the incident.
Media sources indicate that the Italian's business partner, citizen Eqerem Braçe, as well as his two sons, Gazment Braçe and Daniel Braçe, are being questioned in connection with the incident.
It is reported that these people have been questioned four times so far. Once by the Judicial Police Officer, once by the Prosecutor, once by crime specialists who arrived from Tirana, and once again by the OPGJ.
The fourth person standing in the hallway, whose name is still unknown, was not questioned.
The reason for the four interrogations is that all three people gave contradictory testimonies about the incident. Once they said they found the Italian dead in the street, once they said they found him wounded and died in their arms, once they said they were with the Italian and were shot by someone who blocked their path with a gun.
This has prompted the investigative bodies to re-interrogate the people who gave evidence, namely Eqrem Braçen and his two children.
Meanwhile, Eqrem Braçe, upon arriving in Gjirokastra, presented himself at the hospital, as he was not in good health due to the drop in blood sugar and the shock he claimed to have experienced.
The victim is in Tirana, awaiting an autopsy, and it is confirmed that the wound he received is in the femur.
