An attempt to traffic narcotics from Canada to Albania has been discovered and foiled by the Tirana Police, as part of the operation codenamed "Continent".
Following investigations by the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Rinas Police Commissariat, the Albanian Post Transit Center Branch and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, citizen Orest Kutaj, 22 years old, resident of Shkodra, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
The young man was caught at a post office in Vora, while he was pulling a package containing 7 kilograms of narcotics suspected of being Cannabis Sativa, with a high percentage of the active substance THC. Preliminary investigations suspect that the drugs were trafficked from Canada to Albania through the mail.

As part of the operation, citizen OK, 22 years old, resident of Shkodra, was arrested, who was caught red-handed, at a post office in Vora, while receiving a package containing 7 kg of Cannabis with a high percentage of THC, suspected of being trafficked from Canada.
As a result of the investigations conducted within the framework of this operation, it was possible to identify the person who ordered the package, citizen ZM, for whose capture, the Police continue to work intensively.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
