New details have emerged from the murder of Italian businessman Edoardo Sarchi, who was executed by gunfire in the village of Salari, Tepelena, in the early hours of Friday morning.
It is learned that the 44-year-old, who had lived in Tirana for two decades and was the owner of a brick factory in the capital, was in the hunting area, along with several other people.
Sources indicate that the suspected perpetrator stepped out into the middle of the road in a wooded area and fired in the direction of the vehicle where the victim was, raising suspicions that it was an organized ambush.
After the shooting, the driver of the vehicle continued on the road at high speed to escape the attack. The incident occurred in a place called "Dilan", at around 00:30.
Police have escorted several people for questioning, while a citizen with the initials GB has been declared wanted as the main suspect in the execution. Investigations are focused on the possibility of a personal or economic conflict.
