The Boba family's house in the former Kënetës neighborhood in Durrës remains closed, while the owner of the first floor, who had rented it to them three years ago, is the only one there.
The tragic event occurred on November 25, when the family's son, 14-year-old Erion Boba, was stabbed several times by a peer and died after 9 days in hospital. No family member has returned to the rented apartment, and no one is with his maternal grandparents; they all still live in Tirana.
According to information, Erion's body will be laid to rest in Bulqizë, the city where the family previously lived before moving to Durrës for better education and conditions for the children.
Experts and authorities warn that repeated crimes among minors, often fueled by conflicts and hate speech, constitute an alarm signal for the state, school, family and society to intervene in a coordinated manner to educate young people and resolve conflicts without violence.
