As part of the "Fingerprint" operation, citizen Edi Hoxha alias Edison Hoxha was arrested in Fier, suspected of being a member of a criminal organization involved in drug trafficking.

Operation "Fingerprint", the result of several months of cooperation between the State Police, the Antimafia District Directorate of the Compagnia Carabinieri in Borgo San Lorenzo, Florence, and the Security Office at the Italian Embassy in Albania.
The operation extended to both countries, to capture and bring to justice in Italy, members of a criminal organization for drug trafficking, in Albania, Italy and Switzerland, during the period 2020-2021.
As part of Operation "Fingerprint", the Court of Florence issued 12 arrest warrants, 10 of which were executed (9 in Italy and 1 in Albania), while 2 citizens were declared wanted.
During this phase of the "Fingerprint" operation, the services of the Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Criminal Police Department, in cooperation with the services of the Fier Local Police Directorate, located in Fier, captured and arrested with the aim of extradition to Italy, the Albanian citizen, declared internationally wanted, EH alias EH, 41 years old, born in the village of Portëz, Fier.
The Court of Florence, with the decision of 2025, has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for drug trafficking, carried out within the framework of a criminal organization, an activity which is punishable by the Italian Criminal Code, with a maximum of 24 years in prison.
Citizen EH alias EH is accused of having coordinated the criminal activity of an organization implicated in the trafficking of the narcotics Cocaine and Cannabis Sativa, in Albania, Italy and Switzerland, during the period 2020-2021.
