A serious incident occurred this evening in Memaliaj, where one person lost his life as a result of gunshots.
According to preliminary information from the Police, at around 20:50, after a conflict, citizen Donald Nela, 29 years old, also known as "Tupja", is suspected of having shot citizen Endri Goxha, 30 years old, who died during transportation to the hospital.
The suspected perpetrator's brother, Darjo Nela, 25, was also injured, but his life is out of danger.
According to information, Donald Nela turns out to be the person with whom 30-year-old Erald Muçi, previously reported missing, had last contact. The latter was known as a close friend of Aleksandër Sadikaj, who was killed on June 11, 2022, in an explosive attack near the TEG area in Tirana.
After the incident in Memaliaj, the suspected perpetrator fled in a vehicle, while the Police services were in pursuit of him.
A special investigative group has been set up at the scene, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, to fully clarify the circumstances and legally document the case.
