SPAK announced the claim for former socialist MP Jurgis Çyrbja and the two other defendants.
A sentence of 3 years in prison was requested for Çyrbjan on charges of trading state secrets in several cases; supporting the perpetrator of the crime on several occasions; and corruption in the 2021 elections. Due to the shortened trial, the sentence is reduced to 2 years.
The same sentence was requested for Altin Hajri, on charges of electoral corruption and trading in state secrets.
Ahmet Masha was ultimately sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in prison for trading state secrets and aiding the perpetrator of the crime.
The former MP was arrested after the hacking of Sky ECC communications. He has been in prison for almost 1 year along with Ahmet Masha. Altin Hajri is wanted as he is also accused of the kidnapping, murder and disappearance of Jan Prenga in 2020 in Kamëz.
