Judge of the Special Court, Engert Pëllumbi, has been elected president of the National Association of Judges of the Republic of Albania. The decision was made during the General Assembly of the Association, held on October 31, 2025.
At the end of the meeting, the members of the Assembly, by unanimous vote, approved the new leadership structure of the Association. In addition to Pëllumbi at the head, Ardit Kuka was elected vice president, while Valjona Haxhiraj will serve as secretary.
The Association's Steering Committee will also include the judges: Ina Hoxhaj, Manjola Xhaxho, Ervin Sulaj, Fatri Islamaj, Erjon Bani, Elsa Ulliri and Albert Keraj.
During the meeting, it was also decided to admit 14 new members to the Association, and several changes to its Statute were approved, with the aim of improving the internal functioning of the organization.
