The Ministry of Defense has provided information on the fire situation in the country. During the last few hours, 30 active fires have been identified in the following areas:
Vlora Region
Municipality of Finiq – The fire has spread to the village of Krane, the administrative unit of Mesopotam. This hearth is opposite the Blue Eye. In this area, the villages of Krane, Krongj and Lower Leshnicë are problematic. 3 firefighting vehicles with 12 personnel of the Finiq MZSH are operating on the ground, assisted by the Armed Forces with 4 firefighting vehicles and 30 personnel of the Armed Forces, 1 FNSH group. The Air Force Helicopter of the Armed Forces has also operated in this area, as well as 2 Greek PZL aircraft, 1 Czech helicopter and 1 Slovak.

Himara Municipality – Bolenë and Tërbac villages – Fire in a pine forest. On the ground: 3 fire engines, 10 Himara and Vlora MDS officers, volunteer forces and 20 Armed Forces officers.
Lukovë Village – 3 fire engines with 11 firefighters from the Himara and Saranda Fire Departments, a Croatian Canadair aircraft, and 1 fire engine with 3 firefighters from the Fier Fire Department were engaged in the operation.
Ninat Village, Konispol Municipality – Fire coming from the village of Bistrica. 2 vehicles and 19 employees on the ground.
Lezha District
Malaj i Epërm Village, Mirditë Municipality – Isolated fire, under monitoring by 6 MZSH officers, 6 forestry forces, 17 municipal forces, 2 volunteers.
Kolsh Village, Lezha Municipality – Fire in forest area, 2 fire engines from Lezha and 1 from Mirdita.
Dibër District
Allushi Mountain, Klos Municipality – The fire is out of control, logs are burning inside the hearth. 6 MZSH officers and 1 fire engine are working to put it out.
Kovasica Mountain, Bulqiza Municipality – Fire under monitoring by 2 firefighting vehicles with 7 MZSH personnel.
Kabe Village, Dibër Municipality. The fire is burning in an area of bushes, thorns, grass and low vegetation, towards the village. 1 fire engine and 6 firefighters are on the scene.
Berat District
The fire continues in the municipality of Poliçan, outside the territory of the Mechanical Plant.
The fire has spread over the water supply, near a group of houses and near the city to the Elderly Home. The situation has worsened in the village of Plirëz, Poliçan and residents are being evacuated. 3 vehicles, 15 officers and 2 vehicles are working at the scene of the MZSH Poliçan, 10 officers from Berat, 60 army forces and the rapid intervention forces of the police. The Air Force Helicopter is also supporting the situation.
Rehova Village, Poliçan Municipality – Fire near apartments, a 2-story apartment has caught fire. Evacuation is underway.
Backë Village, Skrapar Municipality – Work is underway to avoid danger to homes.
Tirana District
Work is underway to extinguish the fire on Mount Bërzhitës, Tirana Municipality.
Stërbeg Village, Rrogozhina Municipality – Reinforcements from Peqin have joined the local firefighting forces.
Okshtun Village, Rrogozhina Municipality – The fire in the area of bushes and brambles has been brought under control. Work is underway to completely extinguish the fire.
Peqinaj Village, Kavajë Municipality – Croatian Canadair aircraft in operation.
Hajdaraj Village, Kavaja Municipality – Towards extinguishing, 1 vehicle and 7 forces engaged.
Arbanë area, Tirana Municipality. The fire has taken on dimensions, but currently, 20 firefighting forces with 6 vehicles are operating on the ground, supported by 8 APR forces, 8 Municipal Police forces and 5 State Police forces. A Croatian Canadair helicopter has also gone to this fire.
Durres District
Krujë Mountain, Krujë Municipality, where there was a reactivation of the fire in the pine forest, 15 operational forces and police support during the action to extinguish the fire.
Barkanesh Village, Kruja Municipality. The terrain makes the work difficult.
Gjirokaster District
The fire danger has passed in the village of Lekël in Tepelena, without causing any consequences for the residents or their homes.
The fire continues to be active in two directions: below the village, towards the village of Hormovë, and above, on the side of Golik Mountain.
Firefighters and the Armed Forces are engaged on the ground and are working intensively to isolate the fire source.
Elbasan District
In the villages of Mukaj and Sojnik, Gramsh Municipality. On the ground, the Gramsh MZSH and 25 members of the Armed Forces.
Cërrik City – The bush fire has been isolated. It is being monitored by 20 firefighters and 2 fire engines.
Hotolisht Village, Librazhd Municipality. Forces are working intensively to avoid danger to homes.
Shkodra District
Koderboks area, Shkodër Municipality. Monitoring by forestry and fire forces.
Stajkë Village, Vau Dejës Municipality. Wind favors the flames, 1 fire engine on the ground.
Puka City – Situation under control. There are 2 fire engines and police forces on the scene.
Xath Village, Fushë Arrëz Municipality. The situation is difficult and the fire has taken on dimensions. Residents are being evacuated.
Kukes District
Gegaj Village, Tropoja Municipality – No danger to homes. 7 MZSH forces, 15 forestry forces, 1 civil emergency, 18 municipal forces, police and 20 volunteers are engaged.
