An unprecedented event is taking place at the premises of News24 television, where company equipment and journalists' personal belongings are being removed by trucks, in an act described as vandalism and illegal.
Renowned journalist Klodiana Lala has reacted sharply on social media, denouncing the confiscation of her work equipment, including the computer where, according to her, there were secret and very important files related to ongoing investigations.
At the center of her accusations is Ard Veliu, former head of the State Police, whom Lala describes as "Kambalja", a nickname that she says was given to him by his own colleagues in the police.
Klodiana Lala's full reaction:
"My files, which contain a lot of secret and sensitive data and with which I was working, as well as my computer and any other equipment necessary for my work as a journalist, have been arbitrarily confiscated by Ard Veliu.
I'm calling him 'Kambale', as the police officers whose careers he ruined called him. I will remember Kambale as 'Escobar's' personal driver, as the police chief who used a photo from a movie to denigrate a woman whose son had been raped by the police.
As the man of the scandal of ranks and as the blindest servant of power.
Since you confiscated the files, read them! Maybe you'll find your name there too..."
