The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime has decided to leave in force the security measure "prison arrest" for citizen GF, after reviewing the appeal filed by him. The decision was announced today by Judge Igerta Hysi.
According to the media release, the Appeals Court reviewed the appeal against decision no. 88, dated 30.08.2025 of the Special Court of First Instance, but decided to overturn it, confirming the measure of imprisonment for GF. This decision can be appealed to the Supreme Court within 45 days from the date of official notification.
Meanwhile, in a previous decision, the Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime had also confirmed the measure of imprisonment for the former IMT inspector, citizen K.Zh., who is under investigation for suspected corrupt activities in the exercise of his duties.
