A 46-year-old woman sentenced to 13 years and 6 months in prison in Italy for drug trafficking and participation in criminal organizations has been arrested in Durrës.
The codenamed "Arachne" operation, conducted by the Durrës Police, led to the capture of Edisnarda (alias Edisnajda) Shapka, who was wanted nationally and internationally by Italian authorities.
She will serve the sentence given by the Bologna Court of Appeal, while the Durrës Court has imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the citizen.

A 46-year-old woman, sentenced by the Court of Appeal of Bologna, Italy, to 13 years and 6 months in prison, for drug trafficking, committed within the framework of a criminal organization, is arrested and put in handcuffs.
The operational services of the Durrës Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with those of the Durrës Police Commissariat, in continuation of the work to locate and arrest citizens declared nationally and internationally wanted, have finalized another operation for this purpose.
Based on the information received, within the framework of the codenamed "Arachne" operation, the wanted citizen, Edisnarda (alias Edisnajda) Shapka, 46 years old, resident of Durrës, was located and arrested.
The Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Durres, with decision no. 169, dated 27.09.2025, has decided to impose the security measure "Arrest in prison", provided for by article 238 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, for this citizen, in order to recognize and execute the criminal decision of the Court of Appeal of Bologna, Italy, of 2020, on the basis of which the citizen Edisnarda (alias Edisnajda) Shapka was sentenced to 13 years and 6 months of imprisonment, for the criminal offenses "Criminal organization" and "Trafficking in narcotics".
