The court hearing for the murder of Liridona Ademaj by her husband Naim Murseli was held today, where further evidence was discovered that proves his connection with the executioner, Granit Plava.
The prosecutor in the case, Javorka Perlincevic, has revealed the communications that Naim Murseli and Granit Plava had, several days before the murder. She has also presented evidence to the jury that on the night of the murder, Granit Plava had been present in the same restaurant with Naim Murseli and his family.
"And the other evidence is, for the phone calls from the defendant's phones from Granit Plava and Kushtrim Kokalla, which were accessible, as we all know that two phones of Naim Murseli and the late Liridona Murseli. mysteriously disappeared that night when the incident occurred. On WhatsApp, contacts between Granit Plava and the defendant Naim Murseli were found and according to the evidence found, they were communicating from 23.11.2023 at around 18:33 and continued for days until 24.11.2023, 25.11.2023, 26.11.2023, 27.11.2023 and on the date of the murder on 29.11.2023.
Defendant Naim Murseli sent a message to Granit Plava with the message: "friend, it's definitely done tomorrow, did the house tell you in the morning", after this, the phone call between the defendants continued and the last call that was exchanged, between the defendant Naim and Granit, took place on the social network WhatsApp on 29.11.2023 at 19:01, where they talked for 28 seconds. And looking at the video recordings that were taken, this is the time when both of them, Naim on the one hand with his family and Granit Plava on the other hand, were at the Etnokuqa restaurant in Gracanica," she said.
The prosecutor further emphasized that after this, the second defendant, Granit Plava, paid the bill and left the restaurant, got into his car and waited for Naim with his family and began to escort them.
"From the initiation, one can see the arrival of Naim with his family, as well as the arrival of Vraj Plavë a little later. As well as their departure from that restaurant. The cameras of this restaurant initiate both the interior and the exterior space, where it is very clear which table they were sitting at and they can also initiate the view of the spaces, the restaurant's parking lot and the car of the defendants Naim Murseli and Granit Plavë is very clearly visible, as well as the time when Granit Plavë was the first to leave that restaurant and waited in his car for Naim to leave with his family, and after they left by car, he followed them later," she said.
It is also learned that the prosecutor has revealed that the bullet casing that was fired at Liridona has also been found, and added that it will be administered as evidence by the court.
"During the murder of Liridona Ademaj, a bullet was fired and since the bullet casing was found, I propose to the court that we continue with the administration of this evidence," the prosecutor added.
The prosecutor in the case of Liridona Ademaj's murder also revealed the value of the debts that Naim Murseli had.
"369,968.77 euros [debt] and during the defendant's testimony, information he provided to police investigators, in the detention unit, he also had debts to natural persons in the amount of 106 thousand euros, which means that the total value of the defendant's debt in March 2024, when the analysis of his financial situation was made, was 475,968.77 euros," she said.
During the administration of evidence, the prosecutor also spoke about the response they received from the Swedish State regarding Liridona's life insurance.
"And further, another piece of evidence is the response of the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Sweden, which confirms to us that the Swedish authorities have accepted that Liridona Murseli had a life insurance policy with a validity period starting on June 25, 2022, in the amount of 3 million Swedish kronor (approximately 272 thousand euros), in which the successor of the insurance benefit in the event of loss of life is not mentioned and in these cases according to the law, if there are no dependents after her death, according to Swedish law, the beneficiary would be the spouse," the prosecutor said.
