The police have officially reacted to the action carried out in Kurtaj, Peqin, where a hashish warehouse was discovered on the property of the director of the Rrogozhina prison, Bilal Hasa.
According to the police, a 23-year-old electricity bill collector has been arrested in the act, while the brother of the director of the Rrogozhina prison, along with three others, have been declared wanted.
Bilal Hasa denied any connection to illegal activity, saying that the apartment is managed by his brother, Romario. After taking the testimony, Hasa was released, but has been suspended from duty until the incident is clarified.

Peqin/Investigations continue within the framework of the police operation codenamed "Kurtaj".
1 citizen is arrested for "Abuse of office" and 2 suspected perpetrators (relatives to each other) are wanted, as well as 2 other citizens for "Abuse of office".
1105 pots where cannabis plants were cultivated were seized, some of which were destroyed by burning.
Following the information provided yesterday, within the framework of the "Kurtaj" operation, conducted in the village of Kurtaj, Gjocaj Administrative Unit, Peqin Municipality, State Police structures, under the direction of the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, have continued investigative and verification actions.
Further verifications revealed that, in this underground environment adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants, 1,105 pots were found where suspected cannabis plants and seedlings were cultivated, as well as numerous electrical devices used for this criminal activity.
Following the procedural actions, the following citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto:
ED, 23 years old, resident of Gjocaj, Peqin, working as an electricity biller, suspected of the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".
Also, the following citizens were declared wanted:
-RH, 30 years old, for the criminal offense of "Cultivation of narcotic plants", owner of the premises where the narcotic plants were found;
-EH, 24 years old, resident of Kurtaj (relative of citizen RH), suspected of "Cultivation of narcotic plants" and "Unlicensed production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons";
-EM, 36 years old, head of OSHEE, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office";
-DE, 34 years old, head of OSHEE, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".
Intensive work is being done to capture and hold them legally accountable.
Equipment and materials used for this criminal activity were seized as material evidence, while the rest of the plants were destroyed by burning.
Regarding the information provided yesterday, where citizens BH and EM were declared wanted, we clarify that citizen BH presented himself to the Police structures.
From the investigative actions carried out under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, it resulted that the premises where the criminal activity was ascertained are owned and administered by his brother, citizen RH.
Subsequently, citizen B. H. was released, as he was not implicated in this criminal activity.
Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, investigations continue with high intensity, with the aim of collecting and documenting any evidence related to this criminal activity, as well as bringing all persons involved to legal responsibility.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, for the criminal offenses of "Cultivation of narcotic plants", "Abuse of office" and "Unlicensed production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons".
