Inez Hajrulla and his right-hand man Ervis Matodashaj escaped a RENEA operation to arrest them, after SPAK signed security measures for them, under suspicion of the murder of Gentian Qarri in 2021.
Hajrulla is perhaps the most dangerous name in the criminal world at the moment in Vlora and has survived several assassination attempts, throughout 2017, 2019 and 2023.
In 2017, Hajrulla was assassinated by a TNT bomb in one of the bars frequented by Ediso Harizaj, who was killed in 2018 in Durrës. After Edison Faqedjegur's murder, Hajrulla rose to the top of the criminal group a year after he managed to survive the TNT explosion. Two years later, in 2019, Hajrulla was in the company of Ervis Matodoshaj drinking coffee in the area known as "7 pallatet Oslo" when he was shot at. He managed to survive, while Dajko Canodemaj was seriously injured.
In August 2023, Inez Hajrulla and Ervis Matodoshaj were allegedly the target of an assassination attempt that was prevented by the Vlora Police, who at that time arrested Amarildo Nikolli, who later received the status of a repentant justice. He revealed to SPAK that the person who ordered the murder was Leonard Luzi.
Leonard Luzi was sentenced to 7 years and 4 months, Amarildo Nikolli was sentenced to 2 years and 9 months in prison due to his status and has now regained his freedom, while Muharrem Koroveshi was ultimately sentenced to 6.8 years in prison.
Inez Hajrulla herself is suspected of serious crimes, but was officially sentenced in 2018 to probation for the charges of "Disobedience to the order of a public order police officer" and "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition."
