The High Prosecutorial Council has decided that the vote for the new head of the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) will take place on December 9, at 11:00 a.m. The decision was made during today's meeting, which was held behind closed doors and with the presence of American representatives of OPDAT.
Before voting, the members of the KLP will review the points received by all candidates during the competition process, as well as verify the fulfillment of the formal conditions.
Joni Keta was selected by the SPAK Special Commission from a list of seven candidates, which also included Andi Pogaçe, Artur Beu, Elton Kërluku, Gentian Ndoi, Gentjan Shehaj and Gledis Nano. According to the official SPAK announcement, the Selection Commission, at its meeting on November 26, 2025, in the presence of representatives of ICITAP and the European Union, decided to recommend to the KLP the appointment of Jon Keta as head of the BKH for a 5-year mandate.
