A SPAK investigation launched some time ago is expected to be finalized with the arrests of people who have abused multi-million AKSH tenders. Over the past few weeks, AKSH officials and directors of the institution have been summoned and questioned. It is learned that several tenders are being investigated, for which there were complaints, but the complaints were later withdrawn.
At the moment, AKSH's main client is businessman Ermal Beqiri, who has won the lion's share of tenders. Meanwhile, he has also been questioned by SPAK. AKSH is an institution at the center of accusations and even one of its former officials, Daniel Shima, disappeared suspiciously for 10 hours where he is thought to have been held hostage by a criminal group in Elbasan.
