Iranian forces are launching a new wave of missile attacks, local media reported, without providing further details.
Iran has pledged to increase the use of improved weapons, mainly ballistic missiles and other rockets with greater destructive power, a Defense Ministry spokesman said.
Tehran continues to launch widespread missile and drone attacks on Israel and neighboring Gulf states, and has closed the Strait of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world's oil trade passes, while American and Israeli warplanes strike military and other targets across Iran.
Explosions were also heard over Jerusalem, AFP journalists reported, shortly after the Israeli army warned it had detected missiles coming from Iran.
A spokesman for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (Unifil) told the BBC that one of their positions had been attacked, "probably by heavy machine-gun fire".
They said a fire broke out after the attack on their base near the Mays el-Jabal area, which is about 70 miles (114 kilometers) from Beirut.
"A member of the peacekeeping team who was going to the shelter was slightly injured. We have launched an investigation," the spokesman added.
The Iranian Tasnim news agency is calling on residents of the United Arab Emirates to evacuate "immediately" from areas around Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi and Fujairah Port.
"These areas have become legitimate targets due to the presence and concealment of US military forces among civilian installations and will be targeted in the coming hours," the agency said.
