On November 11, Ilir Meta will try his luck again at the Special Court of Appeals in the hope of regaining his freedom. The second instance of the judiciary will review the former president's request to lift the security measure.
Earlier, the GJKKO rejected his request with the argument that it could lead to the destruction of evidence and the intimidation of witnesses.
Meta is accused of corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets, and the case is being tried in a preliminary hearing.
