The former chief of police station no. 2 who arrested the highly wanted Altin Morina, a former RENEA operative suspected of criminal organization and drug trafficking, has resigned from the ranks of the State Police.

After Morina's arrest, which was wanted by SPAK, Pali was seen as undesirable by the highest police officials, some of whom were not interested in the arrest of the former RENEA officer. By order of Ilir Proda, he was transferred from one task to another, his rank being lowered and he was eventually "interned" as a specialist for order in the public order section of the Kukes Police. Faced with such a situation, Pali decided to resign and leave the police ranks. Morina's arrest brought a wave of clashes in the police and some of the officers who were involved in the action were urgently transferred to other tasks. The scandal passed in silence by most of the media.
