The Freedom Party announces that its leader, Ilir Meta, has summoned his lawyer Kujtim Çakrani today, asking him to be questioned about January 21 as a person in the know.
According to sources, the PL leader has asked Çakran to request the prosecution to be considered a person of interest in SPAK.
"The President of the Freedom Party, Mr. Ilir Meta, has today summoned his legal counsel, Attorney Kujtim Cakrani, and asked him to make a request to Prosecutor A. Shehu to be questioned as a person who has knowledge of the circumstances and facts related to "January 21", the PL statement states.
We recall that Ilir Meta was one of the reasons why the then opposition Socialist Party held the protest on January 21. The rally came after the sensational video where former minister Dritan Prifti recorded the conversation with Ilir Meta about the 700 thousand euro bribe.
