The Special Court changed the security measure for Redi Molla. From arrest to prison, the former senior municipal official was sent to house arrest. The court relaxed the security measure for him for health reasons.
Redi Molla and Mariglen Qato are the two former directors of the Municipality who are accused of corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets. According to SPAK, they are the actual owners of the 5D company, which won tenders at the Municipality of Tirana.
Several other officials of the Municipality are also being tried along with them. While its head, Erion Veliaj, is in custody and is officially charged with 13 criminal charges.
