Vlora police have detained two people suspected of the serious rape of a 61-year-old man, an incident that occurred the day before in front of the Çole market. The arrested are citizens Ermal Sakaj and Klaudio Nurçaj, both with previous criminal records.
According to official sources, the victim of the attack is Kozma Kukli, who was physically attacked with hard objects by two people who arrived in a van, got out of it and attacked him in the middle of the road, causing serious bodily injuries.
Local residents came to the aid of the elderly man, immediately notifying the ambulance and the police. The 61-year-old was transported to the Vlora hospital, where doctors confirmed that he had suffered head injuries and serious damage to his right eye, which could endanger his vision.
Footage from the scene shows that the victim was lying on the sidewalk, with bloody clothes, as a result of the violence inflicted on him.
Police are continuing their investigations to fully uncover the incident and the motives that led to this act of violence.
