
New details have come to light about the mafia execution of Artur Bashimi in Athens. According to preliminary data, he was shot in the head on “Mihail Voda 200” street, in the Agios Panteleimonas neighborhood. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the victim Bashimi was arrested in February 2022 as part of a criminal group that committed thefts on public transport. He was arrested for the same criminal offense by the Greek authorities in 2024.
According to the Greek police, the victim, Artur Bashimi, is the brother of 38-year-old Marsel Bashimi, who also goes by the surnames Shkurtaj and Gozhita. The latter has a serious criminal record in Albania and Greece.
He turns out to be one of the trusted men of Bledar Jambelli and Kristaq Leci, the latter accused of being the perpetrator of the murder of Chief Commissioner Artan Cuku.
Greek police have focused on the criminal activity of the Bashimi brothers and conflicts with other groups to shed light on the mafia assassination that shocked Athens.
