New details have emerged regarding the abuse of a 19-year-old woman by an officer in Dibër, Jetmir Uta. Following the arrest of officer Jetmir Uta, who was an assistant specialist in the Dibër general patrol, the Prosecution has not yet decided when it will take action against him.
The officer, 24 years old, is suspected of having forcibly had sexual intercourse with a 19-year-old woman, an incident for which the young woman reported him to the police.
'I was with my sister,' says the abused woman according to the file available to Top Channel. 'And at one point I separated from her,' her testimony further states.
The girl, who appeared at the police station with her mother, spoke about the abuse by the officer, emphasizing that she had no previous acquaintance and that he had exerted psychological pressure on her.
However, her statement is contradictory, initially she testified that she was abused in the officer's vehicle, and then explained that she went to the hotel. A contradiction that prompted the police to call a psychologist. As results from the investigative file, after the girl's denunciation, officer Uta, who was an agent in the section for operational support of the investigation at the Dibër Local Directorate, left for Kosovo.
After the incident, he left, hiding the vehicle with his brother-in-law.
During police checks, the vehicle was found at the brother-in-law's house, and for this reason, the latter is also under investigation for 'supporting the perpetrator of the crime'.
His mother, after learning that her son was wanted by the police, went to the (abused) girl's house and told her to 'withdraw the report, or we will destroy you'. For this reason, his mother is also under investigation for 'threats not to report'.
The police suspected that Officer Uta was hiding in Paskuqan, Kamëz with a relative and when they checked, they did not find him. He then returned from Kosovo and surrendered.
The measure has not yet been determined, while the 24-year-old initially insists that he did not abuse the young woman.
